This is an excellent ceramic paring knife at a great price. Works better than steel at cutting meat, but can’t replace steel, as crushing through joints, etc. would be risky. A nice addition to an existing kitchen knife collection.

I’m on my second Kyocera ceramic paring knife and I just love it! (I loved the first one, but it met a tragic death when it fell out of the drainer and into the running disposal.) I use this knife many times throughout the day to prepare my son’s snacks, peel fruit, cut small veggies, etc. It’s very sharp, fits nicely in my hand, and is extremely durable (except in the disposal!). I highly recommend this knife!

5 Stars kyocera red-handled ceramic paring knife
This is the second ceramic knife I’ve purchased and I love them. Extremely sharp. Be sure to protect the blade with a knife sheath if you store it in a drawer with other knives. The handle fit’s the hand nicely and the blade almost looks like a plastic blade used for picnics, but be careful as it is sharp. I like the red handle because I can find it quickly amongst the other knives. All in all, an excellent value.

I love this knife. I also have the six inch size blade as well as a peeler tool. Once you get one of the ceramic blades, you’ll want more of them too. These are very nicely made, so sharp, so wonderful to use in a raw vegan kitchen. Thanks so much for the great deal.
