2 Stars 3rd Grabber Purchased, all same problem
We have purchased three of the “grabbers”…all have been great, except for the same problem. A suction cup comes off, and we are no longer able to use. We have purchased similar item, but with a trigger type handle. It has a different pick-up end, a claw-type. The claw-type picks up small coins, and has more durability. The “Grabber” needs to provide extra suction cup, screw in the packaging, or it needs to provide replacement parts.

I’ve been using this product now for around five years and still am amazed how effective it has been. It’s almost unbelievable. It picks up everything from a thin dime to heavy clothes.

If you have knees or back problems this little gadget is a lifesaver. This is the first “product” I have “reviewed,” so you know how much I think of it. When you have something this good, you want to share it.

If bending over and picking up things on the floor, or trying to reach things in back of a washer & dryer, etc., is painful for you, this will be the greatest $15 you ever spent!

1 Star The Gopher won’t go for much
My family has gone through five of these. We learn slowly and they are quite cheap.

Each one has lost the grabbing suction cups.

It can pick up small light items.

I tried to turn my computer on and it could not depress the push button.

I wanted my dictionary. It is a small paperback. I grabbed the Gopher and went for it. One side sprang open quite dramatically. The other just dropped its cup. Even duct tape could not save that one.

A tiny screw runs between the grabbing tension rods and into each suction cup. That screw is pulled apart when the grabber closes. It lasts longer than it should, based on such a poor design.

Buy one with a simple design.

2 Stars Gopher Pick Up
I use these tools when I walk on the side of the Autobahn (the nationally coordinated motorway system in Germany) in Germany. I find many dead rodents that I pick up and store in a bag. I usually take them home to prepare if they’re not too damaged. I also use it to pick up bottles of whiskey (I siphon the leftover whiskey in each bottle to form a full bottle) or cans so I can recycle them.

Unfortunately the quality of this brand is really not that good.
