2 Stars have a a very small toothbrush handy.
The product does what it says it does. So what’s the big deal? What’s my problem, you say? The cleaning. This think is impossible (well, not impossible) to clean. As you can see from the pic, the little slots are not removable, so when you cook the bacon in the microwave, the fat and pork bakes in between the slots. Even if you let it soak, you’ll still end up using some kind of very small cleaning brush to clean the sides and bottoms of every single one of those slots. A pain in your captains quarters, for sure. If I were you, I’d buy one of the many other options on Amazon and make sure it can be cleaned easily by checking out the products picture.

1 Star DO NOT PURCHASE!
This product was very disappointing. After using only 6 times, the plastic started to melt and disfigure. I only hope that toxic chemicals did not start to leach into my bacon with the first 5 uses! Avoid this product.

1 Star Melted Mess!
The first time we used it we discovered what a pain in the butt it was to clean. The second time we used it, it melted into a giant glob of bacon and plastic! Who would have thought that something that was MADE FOR THE MICROWAVE would melt in it?!?!?!?! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

5 Stars Bacon Wave is the best
I had a Bacon Wave when they first came out in the 90’s. After many years of use, I dropped it one day and it broke. Imagine my surprise to find it sold through Amazon. I bought an extra as a spare. Truly, it makes the best bacon ever! The fat drips away (much healthier) and you don’t get the smell or mess of frying it in a pan. The manufacture recommends 1 minute per slice which is fine, but f you have a microwave under 1000 watts, I recommend an additional 30 seconds for every three pieces you make, otherwise, the bacon is soggy and a little underdone. However, it is a great product and I am considering giving them for Christmas gifts this year.

I only use it with thick sliced bacon but it’s perfect for that. Best microwave bacon cooker I ever had.
